You will work closely with cross-functional teams of engineers, project managers, and other designers to ensure the successful delivery of projects within schedule and budget while adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Key
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project teams to understand project requirements, objectives, and constraints.
Develop piping layouts, isometrics, and detailed drawings utilizing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
Ensure accurate design documentation, including specifications, material lists, and fabrication drawings.
Perform piping stress analysis and collaborate with stress engineers to ensure system integrity and safety.
Evaluate and select appropriate materials for piping systems, considering factors such as pressure, temperature, and compatibility.
Maintain a deep understanding of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to piping design.
Participate in design reviews, offering insights and recommendations to improve project outcomes.
Support the development of cost-effective solutions without compromising safety or quality.
Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of piping systems within overall project design.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers as needed.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial piping design.
Proficiency in using industry-standard CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.
).
Strong knowledge of piping materials, fittings, and components.
Familiarity with piping stress analysis principles.
Solid understanding of relevant industry codes and standards (ASME B31.
3, API, etc.
).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
